I’m Annie, the newest member of the team at MGA in the role of Account Executive. Having spent three years as a teacher and head of pastoral care at a school, I felt I was ready to head into a new and exciting industry that has always peaked my interest.
As expected, transitioning into a new industry comes with its challenges, however, the welcoming nature of the team at MGA quickly put me at ease. It has been a pleasure to join a dynamic and innovative agency. I have learnt so much already, most interestingly for me, how campaign strategies are developed and executed. I am also enjoying the fast-paced environment and being able to collaborate with creative teams to bring campaigns to life.
It’s been interesting to see how agency life differs to the education sector but I have also found similarities along the way. Both roles require strong communication and relationship-building skills as well as the importance of understanding the audience to tailor approaches effectively. The main difference I have found is the shift from educational outcomes to client satisfaction and campaign success, this has provided a refreshing opportunity to see the results of our creative strategies, which has been a rewarding experience.
I am enthusiastic about current and future projects as well as continuing to grow within the agency. It is a pleasure to be able to learn from my colleagues every day. I would encourage others to consider career changes that align with their passions and skills.
