As a global airport at the heart of international travel, London Gatwick is a key part of the local and national economy. With ambitious growth plans, the airport wanted to create a compelling Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to ensure it is positioned as an attractive employer to attract and retain the best talent.
What did we find that’s extraordinary? London Gatwick is a truly unique place to work which feeds off the incredible energy at their site and the general magic of travel.
How we extracted the extraordinary
We started by interviewing a broad range of employees, spanning all key departments within the organisation, to gather insights on what it’s like to work at London Gatwick. This was complemented by a wider survey to allow other employees to share their input.
With a solid pool of insights to work from, a number of core themes emerged. These were combined into a core EVP statement, supported by an aspirational long-hand narrative to encapsulate the experience of working at the airport.
With these foundations in place, we then developed a series of key materials to help the London Gatwick Talent Team push the new, consistent message – working closely with the client’s brand team to ensure brand consistency. This included a lead animation, , a top-level candidate brochure, a series of templates to promote open positions, new exhibition stands for job fairs, and guidance on how to use the new EVP assets across all touch points.
